“That was the worst party ever.” Francis said turning on the lights to the house as he walked in the front door.

“I’ve got to agree.” Arthur said as he entered the house. “I mean the music was terrible the guest list was okay at best and the food was dreadful.”

“Even your food isn’t that bad.” Alfred said crashing on the couch next to Matthew.

“I don’t rather to take that as an insult or a compliment.” Arthur said as you shut the door behind you. You and the guys just got back from a Halloween party that one of Alfred’s friends threw and your weren’t really impressed. You went over and sat on the couch next to Francis and laid your head on his shoulder.

“Tired, mon cher?” he asked as you shook your head.

“No just kind of bored.” He smiled as he stroked your (h/c) hair.

“Hey the night is still young.” Alfred said smiling. “How about we tell ghost stories?” Before anyone could say anything Alfred ran to the kitchen and returned with five Popsicle sticks. “Alright there is a number on each one.” He said as everyone picked a random stick. “Whoever gets the lowest one goes first.”

You turned your stick over seeing you had the stick with the number “1” on it. You sighed as you looked at it.

“Sweet! You’re first ______.” Alfred said as you looked at him.

“I’m not good at telling ghost stories.” You told him as you were about to ask who was number two to go.

“Oh come on you have to have something creepy.” Alfred said as you thought.

“Well something did happen when I started working at this hotel.” You thought.

“Tell it.” Matthew said as you looked at the guys.

“Well I started working at this hotel as a maid.”

“Oh la la.” Francis laughed as you rolled your eyes.

    “I wasn’t a French maid.”

    “In my mind you are.”

“Well anyway I started working there and there was this door numbered ‘319’ that we never let anyone room there so one day I asked the manager ‘Why don’t we let anyone in room 319?’ and he looked at me and told me ‘You’re the new girl aren’t you? Listen kid just don’t worry about it.’ So I went on with my work. A few days later I was cleaning room 321 late at night and I heard a noise coming from the room next to the one I was in. I went out to the hall to see what it was and it was coming from room 319. I listened and it sounded like a woman crying. Well the door had an old door with a keyhole you could look into so I leaned over peeking inside when I saw a girl sitting on the bed with her back to me. She was crying. I stood up and looked at the door number again making sure it was room 319. I knocked on the door ‘Miss are you alright?’ I asked her but no response. I bent over again to look in the key hole but I saw nothing but red. We had those red ‘Do not disturb’ signs that people hung on their doors so she used hers to block the key hole. I shook my head and walked door to another room and saw another maid that has worked there for a while. I asked ‘So what’s with room 319?’ and she looked at me. ‘Room 319 was so sad. A woman came here and rented the room after her husband to be left her at the alter and ran off with another woman. She killed herself that night in that room and people say they can still hear her crying.’ She started walking down the hall and turned to me. ‘The strange thing was she had the oddest red eyes.’”

You looked at the looks of your housemates as they went a bit pale when suddenly the lights went out. The five of you sat in the dark looking around. “Nice affect, ______.” Alfred said looking around.

“This part isn’t my doing.” You shook your head. “I was just good timing.” You looked over to see Arthur walk into the kitchen and hear him opening the draw looking for a flashlight.

“Once I get a light source I’ll go check out the power box in the basement.” Alfred said as Arthur came out with a lit candle. “Really?”

“I can’t seem to find the flashlights so use this or go down there in the dark.” Arthur told him as he sighed taking the candle from him.

“Fine. I’ll be back.” Alfred went to the basement to see about turning the power back on.

“Hey ______?” Matthew asked as you turned your head. “Did your story really happen?”

You smiled and shook your head. “I used to work in a hotel where we weren’t allowed to go in room 319 but the crying girl thing didn’t happen.” You giggled as he was relieved to hear that. Moments later you hear Alfred walking back up the stairs to the main house.

“Well the switches are on but I’m not sure what happen.”

“You paid the bill this month right?” Arthur looked at Francis who nodded.

“Oui I dropped off the payment before _______ and I went to her favorite café for lunch a couple weeks ago.” He told him as everyone stopped hearing a faint crying.

“W-what’s that?” Matthew asked looking around.

“It sounds like a girl crying.” Alfred answered looking for the noise. “Nice try ______.” He laughed. “But you getting to tell the first story with a girl crying and this happens right after is too much of a coincidence.”

“I didn’t even want to tell a story and I didn’t know I was going to in the first place.”

“If anyone one did this I would think it was you.” Francis looked at Alfred.

    “Me?”

“Oui. You were the one that said we should tell ghost stories and when the power went out you were the one to go check the power box. How do we know all the power is really out for good?” He asked as all eyes turned to Alfred.

“Because I’m the hero not some…” He couldn't think of the word as he knew he did like a good prank here and there. “Well anyway this wasn’t me.”

“I better go check to see at least if our water is running.” You said as Arthur followed you into the kitchen with the candle lighting your way. You reached over turning the sink on as you heard the liquid running but stopped to stare.

    “Blood hell!” Arthur blurted out.

“Literally.” You watched as the sink filled with a thick dark red liquid.

“Guys…” Matthew said as you and Arthur walked in the living room looking down the hall where the others were looking where a girl with long black hair in a hospital gown stood in the hall. Your heat started to race as you noticed she was almost see through. The girl’s head shot up as her eyes glowed red. You let out a scream as you ran out of the house with your housemates…except for one.

He stood at the doorway watching as his housemates ran down the street. A smile grew on his face as his little Halloween prank went better then he thought it would. He heard the door in the hall leading to his bedroom open as his friends walked out peeking out of the hall.

    “Is it clear?”

“Oui.” Francis laughed as he looked back to his two best friends.

“Zat vas Awesome!” Gilbert laughed as Antonio agreed.

“Si, it is amazing what you can do relining the kitchen sink to a tank of fake blood and a projector.” He walked up to a wall vent taking a small projector out as the long haired girl disappeared.

“I am sure that those four won’t forget this Halloween.” The Frenchman laughed and sighed. “I do love this holiday.”
Alright figured I would put this up early. I wanted to do a short Halloween themed fic because I do love Halloween.
So who did you think pulled the prank first?

Happy Halloween to you all and please have a fun and safe holiday ^^
